Illustration

In 2022, 40% of children's books were written or illustrated by someone who is Black, Indigenous, or a person of color. 6% of books primarily featured a character with a disability, 6% primarily featured an LGBTQ character, and only 4% primarily featured a non-Christian religion. These same voices are often the targets of book bans in schools and libraries across the United States.

All children deserve access to books that accurately reflect their world. Please consider visiting Women* Who Draw and hiring the best illustrator for the job.
